I am a Perfume Consultant with Le Rêve (M) Sdn Bhd. Le Rêve is an Australian based company producing superior quality French perfumes. I’ve been with Le Rêve for 12 years. In the first 11 years, I was working full time jobs, the last being a Director of Sales for an IT firm. Le Rêve wasn’t an income generating business for me. It was more for fun and I thought I to myself that I don't have the time to build it as a business. In 2012, I left my full time job losing a significant source of income for my family. I did it because I wanted to have more time at home with my daughter and prepare for the birth of my son. In order to help with rising family expenses and costs of living in Kuala Lumpur, I decided to rejuvenate my Le Rêve business.

I hold little private perfume workshops called Perfume Rendezvous. It is a fun gathering of like-minded people to explore perfumes in an interactive way while sharing tips and tricks about perfumes. I can conduct workshops which are structured sessions for learning about perfume selection, perfume for workplace and perfume etiquette.

I looked at what I want for myself and my family – my dreams. Then, I have a vision and I set some goals. Today, I am proud to say that I have gained much personal development, confidence and leadership skills. I am working happily at my own pace and time because Le Rêve gives me the flexibility to build my desired income around my family and my personal lifestyle. Running my own business requires new sets of skills which I am still honing, such as self discipline, time management & creative thinking.

My vision is to create and sustain an ecosystem of successful entrepreneurs with a culture build on trust, confidence, communication and learning by empowering and inspiring ordinary people, especially women using Le Reve business model that will provide outstanding income opportunities, to realize their own dreams and to leave a legacy to loved ones. 

I am also a Competent Communicator and a Competent Leader in a Toastmasters Club. I am an active Toastmaster and previously held club EXCO positions of Vice President of Education & Vice President of Public Relations. My purpose in Toastmasters is to uphold a life long attitude of learning for self improvement in both business and personal.'

Datuk Simon Soh

Datuk Simon Soh is a Certified NLP Practitioner, Certified KnowledgeConsultant (from International Knowledge Management Institute, USA), a Certified Professional Trainer (PSMB, MIM and AWBT Australia), a Certified NLP Practiioner (NF-NLP), and  a Master Vistage Chair (www.vistage.com),  and Chief Learning Officer of First Channel Asia Pacific, and Capital Connection Inc, USA.

Simon holds an MBA from the prestigious Cranfield University School of Management in the United Kingdom (UK), a Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Royal Chartered Institute of Marketing UK, a Diploma in Management with Distinction (and Silver Medallist) from the Malaysian Institute of Management, and a Diploma in Production Engineering with Distinction from the Singapore Polytechnic. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and Doctorate in Metaphysics.

Simon started his career in 1975 as a Sales Engineer (responsible for sales/marketing of Mercedes Benz and Thysen Hanchel specialised vehicles (military trucks, Armoured Personnel Carriers, TAM Tanks, Ambulances, Fire Fighting Vehicles, etc). At the age of 24, he was promoted to Deputy Dealers Manager and was the youngest member of the Management Team in the Company’s history, where he helped dealers in the management of sales and marketing.  He eventually moved up to become Product Manager (passenger cars) and later the Group Product Manager (Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles, and Specialized Vehicles) of Mercedes Benz.

He joined Malaysian Resort Timesharing in 1985 as the Division Manager responsible for sales and marketing of the first Timesharing Project in Malaysia. In 1986, he was head-hunted to join Citibank/Citicorp as Malaysia’s Country Manager for the Payment Products Division (PPD) in 1987 where he grew the sales of the division by over 20 percent year on year. Having demonstrated his capacity and capability in this very aggressive and achievement-oriented organization (through sales management and people management, he moved to other senior management positions in the organization and was well rewarded in both experience and benefits. He was the Citicorp Services Inc.'s Regional and Sales Director for Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indochina, and Myanmar and was simultaneously the CSI's Quality and Customer Service Training Director for Asia Pacific Region.

As part of his strong desire to learn and acquire new knowledge, he became a consultant with PA Consulting, Success Motivation International, Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation, and Korn/Ferry Futurestep, before venturing in the field of Human Performance Excellence and Organization Development.

Over the span of his professional career, Simon has experienced and acquired wide and deep experiences in many Industries and Roles. His breath of working experience covers sales and marketing, sales management, advertising, dealers management, Government relations, business development, business management,strategic thinking/planning, change management/managing change, human resource management, training/HR development, quality management (Six Sigma), customer servicequality, head hunting/Recruitment, and Organization Development (including Organization Helathcheck and Open Book Management).  He is passionate on helping people and organization grow, excel and create exceptional values.

Simon also lectures part-time at various institutions at Degree and MBA level.

Simon is a very versatile and flexible trainer and conducts training programs (using real-life cases and experiential approach) on leadership and management, strategic management/thinking, leadership and team-building, people management, hiring and interviewing skills, change management, creative thinking and problem solving/decision making, personal success leadership workshop, time management, Interpersonal Relationship (IPR) and Motivation, smart selling skills, Key Account Management (KAM), Exceptional Sales Performance (ESP), sales management,effective marketing, service quality and excellent customer service, total quality management (six sigma), finance for non-financial staff (using board game), marketing for non-marketing staff, HRM for non-HRM staff, and Profit and Cash Game (an experiential game that teaches employees to think like owners and become business and financial literate). He also conducted the Module of Corporate Governance/Strategic Thinking for the Corporate Directors Training Program.

Besides being a part-time actor, Simon is also an active networker/social worker, and is a member of various professional bodies (MIM, CIM, ASTD, Toastmasters International, Lions Clubs International, Malaysian Institute of Geomancy Sciences (MINGS), I-Ching/Reiki/Pranic Association, etc.). He is also the Deputy President of Malaysian Institute of Geomancy Science (MINGS) and continuously reflect on creating harmony using the Science of Feng Shui and I-Ching. Simon has sponsored two Toastmasters Clubs, mentored three clubs and is currently an Able Toastmaster Gold (ATMG). He has won many contests at Club level and Area level of the Toastmaster Movement. He was also a Club President, Zone Chairman, Leo Advisor, Leadership Development Chairman (3 terms) of the Lions Club International District 308B1, and is currently a District Trainer.

He has received various leadership awards and recognition from many profit and non-profit organizations for his contributions to helping and enhancing lives. He won numerous leadership awards at Citicorp/Citigroup, one of which was the Asia-Pacific Sales Team Champion Award. In recognition of his contribution to Human Resource and Management Development, he was awarded theResource Person Award and Trainer Excellence Award 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 by the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM).

Simon has traveled widely to over 28 countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, and America, and is exposed to diverse cultures and points of views. He also coaches CEOs which gives him perspective in seeing issues and situations. His passion is to help release the full potential of people and organizations through integrating Eastern and Western philosophies in Leadership, Management, and Strategic Thinking.
